How I Found An $18 Flight Using Skyscanner

Skyscanner is my secret weapon! By using Skyscanner, there are three unique options that you can use to make sure you are finding the cheapest flight possible!

1. You can search for flights “everywhere”

If you are unsure about where you would like to go, or just want to browse flights, Skyscanner has a unique feature for this. As you can see in the photo below, when selecting a destination, you can just choose “Everywhere.”

When choosing this option, Skyscanner will show you all the flights available from your airport, beginning with the cheapest option!

This is great when you know you want to go somewhere, but you just don’t know where. I have also discovered places that I didn’t think about by playing around with this option! Who knows, maybe you will end up somewhere you never thought you would!

2. Search for the Cheapest Month

If you are like me, and don’t want to spend lots of money on a flight, Skyscanner has the perfect option for you! When selecting the month you would like to travel, you can select “Cheapest Month” as shown in the photo below.

This will show you which month is the cheapest to fly to your preferred destination!

The only drawback to this is that maybe the cheapest month is 6 months from now, but you would like to travel next month. Just be aware of that!

3. Search by Month in General

This is probably my favorite feature of the three. You can select the month you would like to travel, and see how much the flights are each day. From this, you can select the cheapest days. Let’s take a look at an example below:

From the example, I chose a flight from Madrid to London in the month of August. Then I selected “Search Flights.”

Then, you will be taken to a screen that looks like the photo below. You can see the price of the cheapest flight broken down into each day of the month. I chose a flight from Madrid to London from the 4th – 14th of August 2020. As you can see, the flight to London is $21 and the flight back to Madrid is only $18, for a total of $39 round trip!! Amazing!
